Fast 10DLC Registration for Online Text Messaging

To start sending SMS messages to U.S. numbers through Notifyre, you must complete your A2P 10DLC registration. Here’s how:

1. Login to your Notifyre account
2. From the dashboard, click on Settings in the left-hand menu.
3. Select 10DLC under the SMS section.
4. You’ll need to complete the following fields:
   1. Business/Brand Information: Legal business name, EIN (Employer Identification Number), business type, and contact details.
   2. Campaign Use Case: Select the purpose of your SMS messages (e.g. notifications, marketing, 2FA).
   3. Sample Messages: Provide at least two examples of the messages you plan to send. These should reflect your actual use case.
5. Submit your registration
6. Once all details are entered, click Submit for Review. Notifyre processes your application through The Campaign Registry (TCR) for carrier approval.

10DLC Campaign use cases summarize the purpose of sending the SMS and indicates the type of content your SMS will contain.

Here are some examples recognized by The Campaign Registry (TCR):

• Customer Care: Support or service-related messages.
• Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): One-time passcodes for login security.
• Marketing: Promotional offers, discounts, or advertisements.
• Notifications: Appointment reminders, shipping updates, alerts.
• Account Updates: Billing notices, account changes, or confirmations.

Carriers want to know:

• What kind of messages you’re sending (e.g. alerts, marketing, authentication codes).
• Who your recipients are (e.g. customers, employees).
• How often you’ll send messages (volume and frequency).
• This helps reduce spam and fraud, improves deliverability, and ensures your messages comply with carrier and regulatory guidelines.

When you register your A2P 10DLC campaign in Notifyre:

1. You’ll select your primary use case from a predefined list.
2. Provide sample messages that match this use case.
3. Notifyre submits this information to The Campaign Registry for approval.

Be accurate and transparent. If your actual messaging doesn’t match your declared use case, carriers may block your messages or impose penalties.

These are mandatory opt-in/opt-out keywords required by U.S. carriers for A2P 10DLC messaging compliance:

START: Allows a recipient to opt back in to receive messages after opting out.
STOP: Immediately opts the recipient out of receiving further messages from your number.
HELP: Provides the recipient with information on how to get assistance (e.g. “Reply STOP to unsubscribe. For help, visit notifyre.com/help or call [support number]”).

If you are sending SMS to U.S. numbers under A2P 10DLC regulations, you must:

• Support these keywords in your messaging program.
• Ensure your system automatically processes STOP requests and does not send further messages to that recipient.
• Provide a HELP response with clear instructions and contact details.

Character limits and message parts apply when sending an SMS through Notifyre. It is important to be aware of message characters as this can affect your total message cost.

The maximum character limit for a single SMS text message is 160 characters or 1 message part.

However, Notifyre does not restrict its users from sending an SMS text message that is longer than 160 characters (unless Character Limit is toggled ON under SMS Settings).

If a longer message (multi-part message) is sent, each message has a maximum of 153 characters due to seven characters being needed to facilitate re-joining of the message on delivery. For longer messages sent, the SMS is split into two or more messages that may be reassembled on delivery, so they are a single message (or, on some handsets, may be delivered as a series of separate SMS).

If you send an SMS text message that contains more than 160 characters or 1 Message Parts, every 153 characters or part thereof will be charged as an additional SMS message.

For example, if a SMS text message is sent with 300 characters, the SMS will contain 2 Message Parts and therefore the second Message Part will be charged as an additional SMS text message.
