Yes, when sending SMS in the USA, all organizations using an application to send SMS, require a dedicated 10DLC number that has been registered.  All Application to Person (A2P) text messaging requires this as part of industry sanctions and governed by The Campaign Registry. Notifyre is an A2P platform. To send or receive SMS, , registration is required to ensure compliance with carrier requirements.  

Sending messages without registering your campaign can result in financial penalties and messages being filtered, blocked, or your number being blacklisted, severely impacting your communication efforts.

The registration process can take a few days or up to 2 weeks to complete. Once your brand and campaign use case are approved, you can order a 10DLC number and link this to the campaign to start sending messages. Notifyre will guide you through the process to ensure quick and smooth registration. 

When sending SMS messages, the total send cost will be deducted from your Notifyre wallet funds. Character limits and message parts apply when sending an SMS through Notifyre. It is important to be aware of message characters as this can affect your total message cost. When registering a 10DLC there are one-off fees which are charged during initial registration. There are also ongoing monthly fees for 10DLC registration.

If your Notifyre account balance drops to zero, you will be unable to send any SMS messages until funds have been added. To ensure uninterrupted messaging, we offer an optional auto top-up feature. If your balance drops below a desired amount, the funds will automatically be added from the chosen payment method attached to your Notifyre account. 

Notifyre operates on a pay-as-you-go basis for SMS sending, which means there are no contracts, simply add funds to send SMS as needed. 10DLC numbers do require a Virtual SMS Number plan (billed monthly) and 10DLC Campaign Use Case (billed monthly per campaign use case type). 

Please note: 10DLC registration incurs once off Brand and Campaign Application fees. The Campaign Use Case registration also requires an upfront payment of the next 3 months plus a pro-rata of the current calendar month, this fee is charged during initial registration.
